State Growth Measures Toolkits

Resources for teachers, administrators, parents and general public, and professional developers and technical users have been developed to support the interpretation and use of New York State-provided growth scores starting with the 2018-19 school year. In each section below, you will find supporting resources for each audience.

Overview of State-Provided Growth Scores
Chapter 59 of the Laws of 2019, which amended the Student Performance Category requirements of Education Law §3012-d, eliminates the requirement to use the State Growth Model for teachers of grades 4-8, building principals covering those grade levels, and high school principals (all of grades 9-12).
